Do you ever hum a favorite hymn with particular lines echoing in your mind?
One of mine is titled “When Christ Shall Come,” with the music and lines written by a longtime friend and talented musician Mark Graham. He captured the essence of the second coming and related events that swiftly take place when Jesus Christ returns. My favorite line in the hymn is, “all evil shall be bound.”
When evil dominated
Long ago in the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve let the “…great serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan…” (Revelation:12:9), deceive them into choosing evil and rejecting good. Until now mankind has not been able to conquer evil. We have come to sadly see that “…the way of man is not in himself; it is not within man who walks to direct his own steps” (Jeremiah:10:23O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.).
